This time of year is always ripe for reflection, and we’re hopping aboard that train to look back at a year of new car reviews. We’d like to send a big thank-you to all of the manufacturer representatives, partners, and fleet management teams who made this year of 20 new car reviews possible.
Here’s the list of our new car reviews and a brief recap of our thoughts on each car. Which was your favorite?
2019 Hyundai Veloster N

Character in spades. Not as refined as a VW GTI but more fun. Chassis is so very impressive. [Click for review]
2019 Mazda MX-5 Miata RF

Thirty years later, it’s modernized but very much still a Miata at heart. [Click for Review]
2019 Ford F-150 Raptor

The seats, the shocks, oh my. Impressively capable. Too big for some trails. Tonka truck for adults. [Click for review]
2020 Toyota Supra

It’s the best new BMW you can buy. Excellent car, wind buffeting windows-down annoys. We want track time in this one! [Click for quick spin]
2020 Ford Mustang EcoBoost High Performance Package

Lighter up front than a GT. Worth a look if you can handle lack of V8 burble. [Click for quick spin]
2019 Genesis G70 2.0T vs 3.3TT

Two of the same car that are very different. Lighter, slower, three-pedal 2.0T wins. [Click for comparison]
2020 Jeep Gladiator

It’s here! Convertible pickups are neat. Looks best in Rubicon trim, manual geared poorly compared to automatic. Is it enough to actually pull an enclosed trailer? [Click for quick spin]
2020 Lexus RC-F Track Edition

Less precise but more giggle-inducing compared to the new Supra. [Click for quick spin]
2019 Mazda Mazda3 AWD Hatchback

Fancy all-wheel-drive system is a wet track-day winner. Feels upscale, could be faster. [Click for review]
2020 Audi E-Tron

Very nice place to spend time, attempts to be an excessively-normal version of a premium EV and succeeds. Charging experience was a challenge. [Click for review]
2020 Ram Heavy Duty Lineup

Impressive updates for 2020. Looking forward to a towing test with the 2500 Diesel next month. Tradesman key situation is amusing. [Click for quick spin]
2019 Ford F-150 3.5L EcoBoost

You’ll win every “trailer drag race” you attempt. It’s Eco or Boost, the truck is thirsty but torque everywhere is worth the fuel bills. [Click for review]
2019 Toyota Tundra Platinum

Interior nicer than Sequoia, but still feels due for redesign. Behind on tech but comfortable and capable. [Click for review]
2020 Dodge Charger Hellcat Widebody

Over the top in the best of ways. Straight-line bruiser that felt big on back roads. [Click for quick spin]
2019 Jeep Wrangler Sport S

Perhaps the least-refined vehicle for the money, but that “Jeep thing” makes it so fun. We want to try this again in warmer weather. [Click for review]
2019 Toyota Sequoia Limited

Old-school and ready for an update. Tows a big trailer very well. Price is the biggest detractor. [Click for review]
2020 Subaru STi S209

You’re charging how much for what now? Fun, but most will recoil at the price. [Click for quick spin]
2019 Ford F-150 2.7L EcoBoost

This XLT was spartan inside, but base EcoBoost V6 felt punchy, even fun. Great engine option for most F-150 buyers. [Click for review]
2019 Nissan Maxima SV

This would be a better car if Nissan dropped any pretense of it being sporty. [Click for review]
2018 Ford F-650 26′ U-Haul

U-Haul claims this dump truck in drag is just as easy to drive and comfortable as a van. They are wrong. [Click for review]
