eM-Powered: BMW Performance Driving School at Thermal
May 2 @ 11:00 am – 7:00 pm EDT
Join Out Motorsports for a day of M-powered action at BMW’s Performance Driving Center at The Thermal Club! We’ll be autocrossing in M2s, drag racing in M5s and M8s, drifting the skidpad in M3s, and turning full laps of Thermal in M3s and M4s. BMW has partnered with Out Motorsports to offer this day of fun at a reduced rate – just for us.
Coming in from the Los Angeles area? We’ll coordinate a group drive from LA to Palm Springs on Friday, May 1.

We have a room block at the Courtyard Palm Springs at a substantial savings over most hotels in the area! Schedule
Friday, May 1
- 12:00 PM: (Optional) Meet in Los Angeles for group drive to Thermal. Exact location TBA.
- 4:00 PM: Check in to hotel, grab your name tag and get to know your fellow drivers!
- 6:00 PM: Group dinner for those who’ve arrived
Saturday, May 2
- 8:15 AM: Arrival and registration at Thermal Club
- 8:30 AM: BMW Performance Driving classroom
- 9:30 AM: Morning drive groups
- 12:00 PM: Group lunch, provided by BMW
- 1:00 PM: Afternoon drive groups
- 4:00 PM: Driving concludes
- 6:00 PM: Group dinner, included in your entry
Sunday, May 3
- Say your goodbyes and head home!
Scholarships
We believe in getting more drivers behind the wheel, as these types of events significantly improve your skills on the road, too. Since 2022, we’ve been able to cover the entry fees and lodging costs for some entrants, allowing participation from folks who otherwise might find these kinds of events a bit of a stretch.
